Year 7 student Leighlah was very recently invited to represent Wakefield Council at the 40th International Children Song and Dance Festival in Poland.
Leighlah stepped in to take part in the prestigious Dance and Music Festival at the last minute when one of her fellow students at Sugar Kane’s School of Dance broke her leg. Leighlah’s Dance Principal, Claire Kane, told us: “I am so proud of Leighlah who had to learn the routine in just two days and has shown tremendous tenacity, team work and commitment”.
Leighlah and her dance group came 2nd place out of 287 international dance schools which secured a place to perform in the concert of Galowego 40 International Children's Festival of Song and Dance in Konin.
Well done Leighlah!
