Ethos of the Department

The Drama Department is committed to providing well-resourced and enjoyable learning experiences in Drama for all ages, and to ensuring structured and measured progress in practical performance skills and performance theory.

The Department emphasises the cooperative nature of Drama, thereby encouraging the girls to be resourceful and independent learners, capable of negotiation to achieve collective goals and using honest evaluation to assess their individual and group progress. In this way, The Drama Department seeks to foster an appreciation of all performing arts and to ensure excellence in attainment at examination.
