Ethos of the Department

The aim of the Chemistry Department is to develop each girl's full potential and strive for academic excellence. Our curriculum aims to create interest and enthusiasm in Chemistry. We offer varied and stimulating courses which are based largely on practical work using a wide range of resources.

Every girl is valued and supported through lunchtime clinics and revision sessions and we offer extension work where applicable. Girls are made aware of the many opportunities open to them through the study of Chemistry at A-Level and beyond. We hope to develop confident citizens in a technological world, who are able to take or develop an informed interest in chemical matters.
