Sophie is Motorsport Communications Director at McLaren, previously Head of F1 Communications at Williams F1 following a passion for motorsport which pulled her trackside. After her degree BA (Hons) Public Relations, Sophie began her career in PR as a Senior Account Executive working on accounts for Formula BMW UK Championship, WTCC, America’s Cup, BMW Sports (golf, sailing & motorsport) followed by a variety of communications management roles over the susbuequent five years for Eden Rock Sports, A1GP and FIA World Touring Car Championship.

“I have been inspired by some strong female mentors and this encouraged me to learn and work hard in order to achieve success. My advice would be not to let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. Don’t be intimidated and don’t try to be something you are not. Work hard, gain experience.”
