Careers Convention 2018

The Careers Convention yesterday saw a range of delegates speak about opportunities for students after Sixth Form and University.

Sessions were held with speakers from a range of careers to give the students more information and insight from the diverse variety of career routes. Many of the students discussed how inspired and beneficial they found the delegates. During the engineering talk the students split into teams to create a bridge made from paper and tape- this was a great way to engage the students and help them use their practical engineering skills.

The delegates complimented the students for their interesting questions and general helpfulness and good manners while the convention was on.

It can be a very daunting challenge looking for a course or career path for our Sixth Formers, we hope that yesterday has helped clear any queries and has prepared you for the next steps.
