Support for New Pupils

The pupils’ induction programme, deemed as ‘outstanding’ by school inspectors, begins once a place is accepted.

During the Summer Term, the Head of Year 7 visits all feeder schools to meet individual boys and discuss their move to QEGS. This is supported by an Induction Day and two new Parents’ Evenings.

Boys are very quickly integrated into the life of the School which is helped by a full induction process when they first enter and involvement in a number of activities and experiences during their early days.

Within a couple of weeks of starting at QEGS, all Year 7 pupils enjoy three days of outward bounds activities at a residential activity centre – a time of team building and “getting to know you” with fellow pupils and teachers.
