WGHS girls have a real taste for adventure. Every year there are numerous trips and regular exchange programmes, giving girls the opportunity to gain self-confidence and experience new countries. Versailles, Bordeaux, Pembrokeshire and Embrun are just a few of the destinations recently visited.

- 3 weeks after starting WGHS, all Year 7 girls go to Caythorpe Court PGL Centre for a week of outward bound activities
- Numerous curriculum-based trips and fieldwork visits enhance the educational experience of our students
- Regular visits to Issenye Secondary School in Tanzania (with whom we are linked) offers girls a vast range of experiences including teaching English and decorating classrooms
- Sports and music tours add to the diversity of activities on offer. Last year’s hockey and netball players went to South Africa and Namibia whilst this year’s singers are going to Venice
- Many trips such as music and sports tours operate jointly with QEGS including the ‘Outlook Expedition’ to Borneo in 2009 and the proposed 2011 Peru trip
