A WGHS education is not only about pursuing academic excellence. We are a very busy school and there are ample opportunities to capture girls' unlimited enthusiasm which means that they can explore and cultivate their natural talents and learn new skills.
The range of extra-curricular activities increases as girls progress through school, adding that extra dimension to school life. A choice of over 25 extra-curricular activities is offered to girls ranging from Craft Club to Sports Skills and Science Club to Puzzle Club. The majority of activities take place during lunchtimes, with a handful at break time or after school.
Each lunchtime the girls are fully occupied. They can choose to join a large number of clubs and the girls benefit enormously from the friendship and understanding that flourishes across the whole school. High priority is also given to ensure that the girls have time just to play outside with their friends during breaks and to make full use of the Junior School Playgrounds.
WGHS Junior school has its own School Shop which is open a number of times during the year for girls in Years 3 to 6. It is managed by the Year 6 girls, and sells seasonal items including Mother's Day and Christmas gifts, as well as stationery and pocket money toys.
