All boys enjoy timetabled PE, swimming or games each day. QEGS enjoys regular outstanding success in local and national competitions, with sporting opportunities for all abilities. As well as improving their physical fitness and self-discipline, boys learn to appreciate fair play and sportsmanship.

- Junior School facilities include playing fields with three rugby pitches, a cricket square, cricket nets, an athletics track and long jump pit
- The school has it's own indoor swimming pool
- Coaching of all sport is led by specialist Junior School PE staff
- Regular inter-school and inter-house matches in all sports
- The main Autumn and Spring Term sports are rugby, swimming and cross country
- The main Summer Term sports are cricket, swimming and athletics
- Lunchtime and After School clubs also include Football, Hockey, Chess, Mini Tennis, Martial Arts and Fencing
