Welcome to the QEGS Junior School PTA
Welcome We are a friendly and informal team, organising fund raising activities and providing support to some of the School’s many events. The PTA usually meets once each half term and is always happy for new ideas to be put forward. Getting Involved Some of our helpers will be leaving the PTA in the Summer as their sons move on to the Senior School, so we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to get involved. We’d especially like to welcome more dads, so the ones already involved don’t feel outnumbered! Please contact either of the Chairs, Helen Mann or Kay Butterfield, for more details. Recent Annual Events
Dinner Dance & Promise Auction As expected this was a huge success; everyone had a fantastic time and the wine was definitely flowing! The food was amazing and the band lived up to their legendary reputation of getting everyone on their feet to dance. The promise auction raised over £7,000, a massive achievement for the boys to benefit from in the Centenary year. Charity Day The PTA were thrilled to be involved with this fabulous fun day by helping out with the Pink Tea Party, providing parents with drinks and pink buns baked by the boys. Everyone had a fantastic time with all funds raised going to Breast Cancer Awareness.
Golf Day The Annual PTA golf day was a great success; fortunately the weather held up and everyone had a brilliant time. Thanks to everyone for their continued support and of course to Paul Carrigill for once again organising such a great day.
Coming Up
Summer Fair – Saturday 12th June 10am - noon A great fun day for everyone with stalls, music, raffle, face painting and much more, to raise funds for Science equipment. All donations for stall & raffle items very welcome – from toys and bottles to black & yellow items. More details in the flyer sent home with your son.
