The Owl Badge is awarded to a boy on the first occasion in each calendar year he represents the school. Most boys receive their Owl Badge each year – testimony to the range and scope of opportunities on offer for all ages and abilities.

- There is an extensive programme of lunchtime and afterschool activites in the Junior School
- Clubs and activities for the yonger boys in Centenary House take place at lunchtime
- In Years 3 to 6 there are a number of after school clubs and activities boys can take par tin
- The Centenary House playground is a paradise for little boys, with an array of outdoor play equipment as well as a wormery, football pitch and outdoor musical instruments
- At break times boys can either play in the main playground or in the quieter Millennium Garden, which has seating, a sandpit and outdoor chess set
- Every boy from Reception to Year 6 belongs to a house - Cave, Bentley, Savile or Freeston and there is strong house spirit
- There are regular inter-house competitions in music and all sports
