Mulberry House Nursery

Refurbishment plans announced for Nursery

The Governing Body of Wakefield Grammar School Foundation is delighted to announce a significant investment in Mulberry House Nursery, to be completed for the start of the next academic year in September 2012.

The reorganisation and refurbishment of the Nursery will create a more open, light and airy co-ed learning environment for boys and girls age 3-4 years. With bright and vibrant colours creating a stimulating and fun interior, an additional interactive Smartboard and continued excellent outside provision, boys and girls will enjoy hands-on active learning.

Capacity of places in Mulberry House Nursery will also increase. Whilst the majority of pupils will be full-time, there is from September 2012 increased flexibility with part-time places offering flexibility – either half-day sessions from 8.30am -1.00pm (a minimum of 5 sessions per week ) or full day sessions from 8.30am - 3.20pm (a minimum of 3 full days per week).

This is an exciting development for the Foundation. It will ensure that with the continued close collaboration of Mulberry House Nursery and the Reception years in both QEGS and WGHS Junior Schools, the Early Years Foundation Stage of WGSF will go from strength to strength.
