Part Time Teacher of Religious Studies

(0.6FTE)

 

Required for January 2009, a qualified teacher of Religious Studies with the ability to teach up to KS4 GCSE. Religious Studies is a highly valued subject with a dedicated staff team and is taught throughout the school to A2 with results consistently of a high standard. 

The school aims to give a good all round education to each pupil, encouraging academic excellence, nurturing talents, developing an individual's potential and emphasising traditional values in the modern context.   Ours is an extremely successful and happy school.

The position is part-time and initially temporary for two terms with the possibility of a permanent post from September 2009. Salary is MPS. The Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also applicable. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced CRB disclosure form.

Learning Resources Centre Manager

Starting Salary £20,018

with progression to £23,350 (pro-rata)

 

Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and qualified individual to join the staff of this very successful and happy school.

This is an exciting post and we are seeking an individual with vision and flair. The successful candidate will be influential in the strategic development of the current Library in its transformation to a new Learning Resource Centre. There is scope for innovation whilst working within a strong and supportive academic team.

The successful candidate should have a qualification in Librarianship or Information Studies, a flexible attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proficiency in ICT. Experience and genuine enjoyment of working with and relating to students aged 11 – 18 is also essential.

Hours of work are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday term time only plus an additional 7 weeks.

Queen Elizabeth Grammar School

Teacher of Learning Support

Required ideally from January 2009 or April 2009, a dynamic teacher with an outstanding record to join the Learning Support Department, which provides academic and pastoral support across both the Junior and Senior Schools.

The position is available as either a full time post or as two part–time posts dependant upon the experience of the applicant. Candidates should have the ability to teach both Junior and Senior School pupils. Candidates may apply if they have a Diploma in SPLD and experience of applying for exam concessions or alternatively, if they have a keen interest in SEN with experience of teaching GCSE/GCE English or Humanities, including essay writing and writing skills. Previous knowledge of teaching a structured literacy programme and study skills would be an advantage.

The position is permanent.  Salary is MPS + a Wakefield Supplement. The Teachers’ Pension Scheme is also applicable. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced CRB disclosure form.
