The Ogden Trust aims to sponsor British students of outstanding scientific ability to attend leading independent schools in the Sixth Form.
Wakefield Grammar School Foundation awards a prestigious Ogden Trust Sixth Form Science Scholarship annually at both QEGS and WGHS. Each scholarship is worth up to 100% of fees, including discretionary allowances for uniform costs and essential school trips.
In exceptional circumstances more than one award can be made each year.
Eligibility
Your son/daughter has been educated exclusively in the state sector
Your son/daughter is predicted a minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade A
Your son/daughter is wanting to take at least 2 pure science (including Physics) and Maths at A-Level
Your son/daughter is intending to read a Physics or Maths related degree at University
Your son/daughter is of British Nationality
Net parental joint income is less than £40,000 per annum*
Note: This income will take account of any investments, assets or equity in property.
Key Facts
To be eligible, a student must include studying 2 Sciences (including Physics) and Maths at A-Level
Physics must be continued to A2 (not dropped after AS) otherwise funding will lapse
Student must be looking to gain 6 subjects at grade A at GCSE
Student must be looking to study Physics at University
